The International Atatürk-Alatoo University (IAAU) (Russian: Международный Университет Ататюрк Алатоо) is a private university in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. While English is the main medium of instruction at the university, some classes are taught in Russian and a few other classes are taught in Turkish. ==History== The International Atatürk Alatoo University is one of the first private universities established in the Kyrgyz Republic. It started its educational activity in 1996. The school's first students were graduated in 2001. The International Atatürk Alatoo University was established in 1996. In 1996, the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Sebat Educational Organization signed a cooperative educational agreement supporting the educational endeavor. In the fall of 1997, the university opened its doors to students. IAAU consist of 3 faculties and 17 departments and one college. Located in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyz Republic, IAAU offers affordable, flexible, up-to date education with a full-time student body of approximately 2000 students from around the world. The language of instruction for major is English in addition; IAAU offers intensive selective Russian, Turkish and Kyrgyz Language courses. With local and international students and academicians IAAU offers friendly multinational and multilingual learning environment. Students of IAAU learn not only in the lecture rooms but also from each other. Even though the language of instruction is English, IAAU students have opportunity to learn Russian, Kyrgyz and Turkish Languages.
